Glentoran were held to a goalless draw by Portadown in the Premiership on Friday night. The result at Shamrock Park keeps the east Belfast side in fourth place with 17 points from 11 games, four points adrift of the playoff positions.
The only caution for the visitors came for substitute Stewart shortly after his introduction. Portadown were the more carded side, with Kennedy and Thompson both booked.
The clean sheet continues a strong defensive record for Glentoran, who have conceded just 10 goals this season. Their recent form reads three wins, a draw and a loss from their last five outings. You can review the full sequence of results on our fixtures page.
Attention now turns to a key home fixture. Glentoran host Limavady United at The BetMcLean Oval next Saturday, a side they beat 2-0 when the teams met in August. Limavady currently sit 10th in the standings.
