Glentoran Football Club is delighted to announce that the Glentoran Gazette has been named Programme of the Year by the Northern Ireland Football Programme Collectors' Club (NIFPCC) for an incredible 25th consecutive year. Produced by the dedicated volunteers of the 1923 Committee, the Gazette has become a much-valued part of the matchday experience at The BetMcLean Oval and continues to be recognised as one of the finest football programmes in Northern Ireland. A delighted Jimmy Carter, Chairman of the 1923 Committee and Editor of the Gazette, received the award from NIFPCC Chairman David Hand at a presentation held earlier today. Joining Jimmy for the presentation were former Gazette Editor Philip Stevenson and David Blanchflower, 1934 Club Secretary and one of the Club's long-serving programme sellers. The award recognises the hard work, dedication and attention to detail that goes into producing the Gazette throughout the season. From writing and editing content to design, printing and matchday sales, the publication remains a true team effort and an important part of preserving the history and heritage of Glentoran Football Club. Colin Jess, Chairman of Glentoran said: "To win Programme of the Year for 25 consecutive years is a truly outstanding achievement and one that everyone connected with the Gazette should be immensely proud of." "The 1923 Committee, led by Jimmy, continue to do a fantastic job on behalf of the Club. The Gazette remains an important part of our matchday tradition and is something many supporters look forward to picking up at every home game." "On behalf of Glentoran Football Club, I would like to congratulate the 1923 Committee and everyone who has contributed to this remarkable success over the past 25 years."
