Around 30 to 40 youngsters benefited from the initiative, which aimed to ease financial pressures on families during the school holidays. The club finished second in the Northern Ireland Premiership last season with 69 points (21W-6D-6L), and the community effort reflects their commitment beyond the pitch.
What happened at the summer scheme?
The Glentoran Social Partnership worked with organisers to provide lunches over two days of activities. First-team player Liam Burt attended, serving meals and later returning with toys and gifts for the children. Gourmet Burgers, the club’s official hot food vendor, also donated burgers for the end-of-week barbecue. The scheme gave kids a safe space to socialise and enjoy summer activities.
