Glentoran have signed former Bournemouth defender Ibsen Rossi. The transfer is a significant boost to their squad, currently sitting 2nd in the Premiership with 69 points from 33 games, and 4 points behind leaders Larne. The addition of Ibsen Rossi is expected to strengthen Glentoran's defense, which has conceded 30 goals this season. With a goal difference of +33, Glentoran are well-placed to challenge for the title, and the signing of Rossi will be a key factor in their pursuit. Glentoran's recent form has been inconsistent, with 1 win, 2 draws, and 2 losses in their last 5 games, including a 6-2 defeat to Coleraine FC on 2026-04-25. They will be looking to turn their fortunes around with the help of their new signing. As they head into the next phase of the season, Glentoran will be hoping to close the gap on Larne and secure the top spot in the Premiership. With 63 goals scored and a strong squad, they have the potential to achieve their goal.
